Java/J2EE Developer

Profile

Many of the responsibilities will involve the following:
- Develops and maintains systems and databases using design and development skills

- Performs functional and technical design, application development, product configuration, unit and system testing, and production deployment within the framework of the Java infrastructure

- Identifies areas of improvement for processes and systems

- Resolves problems and handles projects in an efficient and courteous manner with internal and external customers

- Maintains confidential material and information appropriately

- Assists in the creation of design standards and best practices

- Provides Java expertise in the diagnosis and resolution of issues, including the determination and provision of workaround solutions.

- Provides regular updates to supervisor and project managers with regard to project progress and outstanding issues.

- Effectively works on multiple projects at any given time

- Participates in technical design and code reviews.

- Creates and maintains technical documentation

- Mentors less experienced developers when possible

- Other duties as assigned.
